Chicago Police Department District-Wide IT Support

Level-1 delivered end-to-end IT support and data infrastructure upgrades during CPD’s transition to its new headquarters.

The Chicago Police Department (CPD), the second-largest municipal police force in the United States, relies on a secure and responsive IT environment to support its 12,000 officers and nearly 2,000 civilian staff. As CPD transitioned into a newly upgraded headquarters, the department required a seamless migration of its critical technology systems along with comprehensive district-wide IT support. 

Level-1 Global Solutions was selected to provide full-spectrum technical services to support this move and strengthen CPD’s day to day operations. Our team delivered networking, server, and desktop software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across CPD locations. We also provided IP device support, end-user computing services, and systems integration to ensure minimal disruption during the transition. 

As a certified Dell partner, Level-1 was responsible for the safe removal and reinstallation of Dell computing equipment from City Hall to the new CPD headquarters. Our team configured a four-host PowerVault SAN to support CPD’s growing data needs and managed the installation of additional disk enclosures into the existing Dell SC Series SAN for the broader Cook County law enforcement IT ecosystem.
