Chicago Public Schools Integrated AV System

Level-1 delivered classroom AV systems for CPS, enhancing digital learning and equity across 600+ schools in the nation’s third-largest district.

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is the third-largest school district in the United States, serving more than 330,000 students across 600+ locations, including over 500 schools and a broad range of support and administrative facilities. With a student population that is 90% students of color and 75% from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, CPS is committed to creating equitable, digitally enabled learning environments that prepare all students for success in college, career, and civic life. 

To support this mission, the CPS Board of Education undertook a district-wide technology initiative focused on improving digital learning capabilities, upgrading critical network infrastructure, and ensuring the secure, reliable delivery of services at scale. Sentinel Technologies and Level-1 Global Solutions were selected as key partners to deliver A/V upgrades and network enhancements aligned with CPS’ long-term educational technology strategy. 

Level-1 was responsible for designing and delivering classroom A/V systems that could support dynamic, multimedia instruction and remote learning. Our team deployed a broad range of educational technologies including projection systems, interactive whiteboards, high-definition displays, portable audio carts, and classroom recording tools. Each solution was tailored to CPS’ instructional goals and configured for ease of use by educators across diverse school settings. 

What We Delivered 

• Procurement and installation of A/V systems across CPS locations, including projection screens, LCD displays, and interactive whiteboards 
• Classroom audio integration for clear, inclusive instruction in hybrid and in-person environments 
• Mobile A/V carts for flexible deployment across learning spaces and special programs 
• General studio equipment for school media production and digital storytelling initiatives 
• Coordination with Sentinel Technologies to ensure compatibility with broader network and security upgrades 
• Training and documentation to support CPS staff in operating and maintaining classroom technologies 

Through this initiative, Level-1 helped modernize classroom environments and bridge digital equity gaps for thousands of Chicago students. Our solutions support more interactive and engaging instruction, expanding access to 21st-century learning tools across one of the most diverse and complex public-school systems in the country.
