Chicago International Film Festival IT Support
The Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF) is an annual event series that enhances the cultural assets of the city of Chicago by exhibiting film from around the world to promote a deeper understanding of a diverse body of cultures, thus contributing to Chicago’s identity and orientation as an international city. Cinema/Chicago, the presenting organization of the Chicago International Film Festival, is a year-round non-profit cultural and educational organization dedicated to fostering better communication between people of diverse cultures through the art of film and the moving image, serving Chicago’s diverse and under-served citizens by providing access to world-class cinema.
Cinema/Chicago hired Level-1 to provide cabling infrastructure and ESS® staffing at each CIFF location, including a dedicated technology specialist and an extended layer of support to handle more complex IT tasks. Level-1’s extended service teams consist of Help Desk members, Network Engineers, Systems Engineers and Service and Project Managers. Help Desk members are physically in the field and in the office to answer telephone calls during regular business hours every weekday. Level-1’s service members average more than fifteen years of experience and many have earned the latest technology certifications from vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Juniper, Apple, Citrix and Microsoft.
Level-1’s ESS® staff augmentation service team customized an IT support plan to meet CIFF’s specific needs, which includes new user arrival equipment setup, changes and departure; use of CIFF’s integrated trouble ticketing system for tracking alerts and service requests; basic system maintenance for end users (i.e. patching, tuning and cleaning); peripheral support such as printers, fax machines, scanners, etc.; mobility device support for tablets, smartphones and other portable devices; and IP Phone setup, support and maintenance.
