NATO Chicago Summit IT Network & Support

Providing IT Support to the World’s Leaders.

Level-1 contributed to the success of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Chicago Summit by ensuring safe and secure communications for an international delegation of leaders during the high-profile public conference held at McCormick Place in May 2012.

Level-1 leveraged its relationship with Dell to supply 150 laptops configured with advanced software and security features to meet the U.S. State Department’s strict access control requirements. Additional laptops were specially configured for the Host Committee’s off-site event management location to allow for direct communication and coordination with Chicago’s first responder network in the event of an emergency.

Level-1 delivered IT and laptop networks for NATO and U.S. State Department offices, an International Media Center, a public Internet café, and other on-site locations for attendees using their own equipment. The network’s bandwidth supported heavy use by Host Committee members, world officials, journalists, and representatives from U.S. agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

In partnership with Dell, Level-1’s Extended Sourcing Solutions™ professional IT staff maintained a reliable network and managed on-site technical support, working within a complex environment to field questions and resolve issues for all participants.
