Level-1 delivered advanced safety and security systems for One Chicago, integrating surveillance, access control, and network infrastructure across its mixed-use podium.

Rising above the skyline at 969 feet, One Chicago is one of the tallest and most ambitious mixed-use towers in the city’s recent history. With 812 residential units, 188,000 square feet of retail, and 55,000 square feet of commercial space, the twin-tower development redefines urban density and luxury in the heart of River North. Its shared podium houses building parking, loading docks, retail (Whole Foods), fitness (Lifetime Fitness) and other amenities acts as a critical operations hub for a property of this scale. 

Level-1 Global Solutions was selected to design and implement the advanced safety and security infrastructure for the podium, a nerve center of vertical circulation and logistical activity. Our role encompassed not only the surveillance and access control systems, but also the physical network infrastructure and security integration that connect back to the broader development’s digital infrastructure. 

To manage the sheer complexity and volume of systems across the podium levels, Level‑1 led design and deployment of a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) head-in console, integrating dozens of surveillance cameras, electronic door access points, and elevator readers. These systems were supported by extensive copper and fiber-optic distribution networks engineered to ensure reliable uptime, remote monitoring, and future-ready scalability. 

We also oversaw procurement coordination and vendor supervision across multiple stakeholders, ensuring that systems integration, diagnostics, and post-deployment configuration adhered to stringent technical and operational benchmarks. From the loading dock to the luxury penthouse elevator lobby, Level-1’s security design ensures safety without compromise.
